Despite the fact that this little lady will just be turning one year old this January, her file was considered Special Focus, meaning her family was able to review her information prior to logging their dossier in. All of the kiddos that are on our photo listing are in need of loving Forever Families, and you can be matched with them right away! Congratulations, Lottie!
As we prepare to welcome the kids for our upcoming winter Orphan Hosting program, we are so THRILLED to announce that this beautiful girl from our summer hosting program has officially been matched with a family! Lottie’s family has already begun submitting their adoption paperwork, and they are working towards bringing her home as soon as possible.
Like many of the children in our Orphan Hosting program, Lottie was hosted by an advocate family. By welcoming her into their home for four weeks during the summer, they were able to learn more about her personality and her needs so that they could help her find the perfect Forever Family!
Congratulations Lottie, we can’t wait to see you come home!
Winter Host Kids Arrive Soon!
The kids who are participating in this winter’s Orphan Hosting program will be arriving NEXT WEEK! While some of our host families have already decided to pursue the adoption of their host child, others, like Lottie’s host family, are hosting as advocates. Two Friends Become Siblings
We are so happy to announce that one of the families in our China adoption program was recently matched with TWO kiddos from the same orphanage!
Due to country policies in China, we generally don’t see sibling groups that are in need of families. As such, many families choose to adopt two unrelated children at the same time so that they can bring them home together. This is such an incredible way to bring two children from a similar past into a shared future.
Congratulations to both of these kiddos and their new Forever Family from all of us at GWCA – we can’t wait to see you come home!

We are so delighted to announce that EIGHT kiddos from our China adoption program have recently joined their new Forever Families! While some of these kids have already had the opportunity to meet their families by participating in our Orphan Hosting program, others have just met their families for the very first time! This is a moment that many of these children have been waiting years for, and we are so incredibly happy that their special day has come.

Forever Family Friday!
Congratulations to this adorable little lady who was recently matched with one of the families in our China LID adoption program! Since her file was considered LID – meaning she’s a younger kiddo with a more minor or correctable need – her family had to have their dossier logged in before they could be matched with her. Now that they’re officially matched, they’re one step closer to bringing her home forever! They’ve still got part of the process to complete before they can travel to China, so they’ve sent her a care package with a photo album of their family that she can look at in the meantime. I think it’s safe to say she LOVED the gift!
This particular kiddo was among the children that one of our China matching specialists had the opportunity to meet during her trip to China earlier this year, and we are so happy that she has found a family who is ready to welcome her with open arms.

You may recognize this kiddo, as we’ve shared his pictures before. He participated in our Orphan Hosting program last year, and went by the nickname “The Man of Steel” because he was wearing a Superman shirt when our hosting interview team first met him. We are THRILLED to be sharing his photo again, as this superhero has a family that is working towards bringing him home forever!
It is so amazing to see another Orphan Hosting story turn into an adoption journey! Congratulations to our Man of Steel and his new Forever Family, we can’t wait to see you come home!

14 Kids Home
What an incredible Forever Family Friday it is, as 14 kids have recently come home from China to join their families!
It is so amazing to think that just last winter several of these kiddos were here in America for our China hosting program. While the wait time for many international adoption programs continues to grow, China’s Waiting Child adoption program makes it possible for families to welcome a new member in less than one year. Thanks to this quick process and the hard work of each one of these families, these kiddos will be spending their holiday season in the arms of their families once more.
